Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, is currently drawing attention with its Ampere Magnus G Max Ultimate Endurance Ride, a major road test designed to demonstrate the scooter’s performance across India’s diverse terrain and weather conditions. The journey began on September 8, 2026, from Dong in Arunachal Pradesh and is planned to cover approximately 4,000 km across eight states, ending at Guhar Moti in Gujarat.
The endurance ride is being conducted over 15 consecutive days and takes the Magnus G Max through mountain roads, highways, cities, forests and coastal terrain. According to Greaves Electric Mobility, the scooter is expected to experience significant variations in temperature and elevation during the journey. The company is recording charging data and other ride information throughout the expedition.
The Magnus G Max has also received a major technology upgrade in 2026. Ampere introduced its NxG.io connected technology platform, bringing more than 30 connected features to the electric scooter. These include cruise control, hill-hold assist, turn-by-turn navigation, Find My Scooter, Ping My Scooter and over-the-air software updates. A new 5-inch digital display is also part of the upgraded package.
The scooter uses a 3 kWh LFP battery and a 2.4 kW peak motor. Ampere states an IDC-certified range of 142 km, while its claimed real-world range is more than 100 km. The company also says the battery is designed for a life of up to 2,00,000 km and comes with a 5-year/75,000 km battery warranty.
Ampere has also reported strong sales momentum. In June 2026, the company announced that its electric scooters had crossed the 4 lakh cumulative sales milestone in India, reflecting its growing presence in the electric two-wheeler market.
With its latest connected features, focus on practical commuting and the ongoing long-distance endurance test, Ampere continues to showcase its approach toward everyday electric mobility in India.
