Waaree Energies Ltd remains in focus as the company continues expanding its solar manufacturing, energy-storage and clean-energy businesses. The latest developments highlight strong order visibility along with increasing diversification into emerging clean-energy segments.
One of the most significant recent developments is Waaree Energies’ 2 GW solar module supply order secured from a leading domestic solar developer. The modules are scheduled to be supplied across FY27 and FY28. The company has not disclosed the customer’s name or contract value, but the order strengthens its revenue pipeline for the coming years.
Waaree’s financial performance has also remained strong. In Q1 FY27, the company reported revenue from operations of approximately ₹7,931.79 crore, representing 79.22% year-on-year growth. Operating EBITDA increased 44.38% to ₹1,439.92 crore, while profit after tax rose 15.39% year-on-year to ₹891.87 crore. The company also added around ₹16,000 crore of new orders, taking its total order book to approximately ₹61,500 crore.
The company is simultaneously strengthening its manufacturing capabilities. Its 10 GW solar cell facility at Unn, Gujarat is progressing as planned, while Waaree has also commenced automated BESS container manufacturing with a capacity of 5.15 GWh at Rola, Gujarat. These investments underline the company’s strategy to build an integrated renewable-energy ecosystem rather than remain focused only on solar modules.
Another recent development is the commencement of commercial production by Waaree Power Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary, at Sarodhi in Valsad, Gujarat. The company has also entered specialty gases and clean-mobility-related businesses, indicating broader ambitions across the clean-technology value chain.
From an investor perspective, Waaree Energies presents a mix of strong growth potential and execution challenges. Recent market reports show the stock under pressure, with shares recently touching a new 52-week low, while analysts continue to watch manufacturing expansion, margins and order execution closely.
Overall, Waaree Energies continues to strengthen its position in India’s renewable-energy sector through large solar orders, manufacturing expansion, battery storage and new clean-energy initiatives.
