The Centre for Electrical Mobility (CEM) at SRM Institute of Science and Technology has partnered with leading automaker Stellantis India to drive innovation, skill development, and the advancement of market-ready electric vehicle (EV) technologies, the institute announced.
As part of this collaboration, Stellantis India has provided two Citroen e-C3 electric vehicles to the CEM. These EVs will serve as live research platforms, offering students and researchers an immersive, hands-on experience in performance optimization, diagnostics, and system testing.
The institute stated that working directly on real vehicles will significantly enhance students’ practical knowledge and accelerate the development of industry-ready EV engineers.
Highlighting the importance of such partnerships, SRM Institute of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor C. Muthamizhchelvan said, “Through strategic collaborations with industry leaders and focused investment in cutting-edge research infrastructure, we are shaping the next generation of engineers and thought leaders.
