Mahindra has updated its electric SUV lineup with the introduction of the BE6 Formula E Edition, a sportier and more dynamic version of the standard BE6. Although both versions use the same 79 kWh powertrain and deliver identical performance, the new Edition introduces a sportier design language inspired by Mahindra’s motorsport heritage. With updated bumpers, a redesigned spoiler, striking colour themes, bold stripes, orange highlights, and Formula E branding, the focus is clearly on enhancing style and road presence.
This isn’t a mechanical upgrade; it’s a motorsport-themed special edition of the BE6 designed to highlight Mahindra’s electric racing DNA. The model carries the same electric powertrain but is wrapped in a bolder, performance-driven design.
The Formula E Edition comes in two trims, priced between ₹23.69 lakh and ₹24.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The model features a heavily refreshed exterior, including redesigned front and rear bumpers, a brushed-aluminium faux skid plate, a boot-lid spoiler, updated headlamps, and bold hood and wheel stripes, complemented by new paint choices. Racing cues are further emphasised through details like the orange tow hook, red brake callipers, Formula E badging, and orange accents on the running boards. Buyers can pick from four exclusive colour options—Tango Red, Firestorm Orange, Everest White, and Stealth Black—each enhancing the Edition’s performance-focused appeal.
At first glance, the Formula E Edition appears far more expressive than the standard SUV. Key updates include:
-
A race-inspired front fascia featuring circular LED headlamps and gloss-black housings.
-
Sleeker DRLs and liquid-metal finished skid plates that lend a more athletic stance.
-
Sporty decals and graphics, including a 12-stripe motif across the bonnet and roof.
-
Exclusive “Formula E Edition” badging, bold colour accents, and a contrasting orange tow hook.
-
Red brake calipers paired with new exterior colour options such as white, orange, red, and black.
These enhancements don’t change functionality but dramatically elevate its road presence—making it the most visually dynamic EV Mahindra has introduced in the mainstream segment.
